Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson Teaming Back Up For SHANGHAI DAWN

According to The Tracking BoardMGM is officially moving forward with a third installment of the comedy action/adventure western Shanghai franchise that starred Jackie Chan and Owen WilsonShanghai Noon was released in 2000, and in 2003 we got the sequel Shanghai Knights. Now, 12 years later, Chan and Wilson are reportedly teaming back up for Shanghai Dawn.

The first two films weren't amazing or anything, but I did enjoy watching them. The western buddy-comedy series paired the character's Chon Wang, a former imperial guard, with Roy O’Bannon, a small-time robber with big dreams, as they partnered up on crazy and dangerous adventures.

Jonathan Glickman will be producing the film for the studio, but as of right now no writer or director is attached to the project. Glickman has produced a ton of movies including the first two films in the franchise, which were both written by Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

I could have gone through life not seeing another sequel to this franchise, but since they're making it, I'll probably end up watching it.
