There seems to be a lot of excitement for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming A Quiet Place Part II. For the most part, fans have liked what they’ve seen from the footage that has been shared, and we’ve got a new trailer to share with you today with more new footage.

I initially didn’t really want to see a sequel to the first movie, but it looks like they are taking to the story in an interestingly different direction. When talking about doing the sequel, director John Krasinski said:

“It's one of those things where I wasn't really going to do a second one because the first one was such a personal experience which looks insane, now that you're watching tha. It was really important for me to continue the metaphor and so we actually start dealing with how this all started so there's a little bit in the movie about how this all started.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

A Quiet Place Part II was written and directed by John Krasinski, and it opens in theaters on March 20th, 2020.
